A Basic Study of the Psychiatric Delivery System for the Psychiatric Patient in Korea


Abstract
in order to establish the effective treatment and rehabiletation plan for the psychiatric patient, the authors have tried to investigate the basic study on the psychiatric delivery system by analyzing the official documents and the related
papers,
and
exploring the current problems.
in result, some problems were founded as follows: First of all, the statistics of the psychiatric patient are so vague as to establish the polish the policy for the psychiatric delivery system. The psychiatric facilities are centered in urban
area,
are
not made a division of role, and have no relationship between the regional facilities. As to the psychiatric manpower, there are no paln for the supply and demand, and no regulation defining qualification, except for the psychiatrist. Compared
with
the
fee for the other medical services, the psychiatric fee per service are lower, the psychiatric fee per day are less, and the payment system is not resonable.

@EN First, the psychiatric delivery system should be made a division of the role according to the specialities of the psychiatric field, second, the specific treatment centers should be found, such as for child & adolescent, substance & alcohol
abuse
and geriatric patients, and third, all psychiatric facilities should have cooperations and close connections with each other.
